Abstract

The study aimed to examine the role of work motivations in enhancing work performance. To deepen the study's theories, relevant literature was reviewed. The study used descriptive assessment and a correlational research design. The population was all the employees of the institution, from the basic education department to the college. The data were gathered through validated research questionnaires. The study found that work motivation (intrinsic and extrinsic) and work performance were high, but the correlational analysis showed no correlation between work motivation and work performance. Therefore, the study's hypothesis is rejected. There are other moderating factors that can influence work performance, not work motivation. The study recognizes its limitations due to its small population; therefore, the results cannot be generalized. There is a need to conduct more studies that account for other factors in measuring work performance.
