Abstract

The study aimed to examine the impact of bureaucratic and transformational leadership styles on employees' innovative work behavior within the institution. To deepen the understanding of the study, the literature was reviewed. The study used a descriptive assessment and correlational research design. The study population comprised all employees of Divine Word College of Laoag. The data-gathering instrument was a questionnaire, and ANOVA was used to analyze the data. The results suggest that bureaucratic and transformational were rated high and were similar to innovative work behavior. However, the regression analysis suggests no correlation between the two leadership styles and innovative work behavior. Thus, the study's hypothesis is rejected. The study recognizes its limitations due to its limited population and coverage. There is a need to conduct further studies on the current topic that involve a larger population and broader coverage, and that include intervening variables such as self-efficacy and psychological capital.
