The study aimed to examine the influence of HRT students' general attitude toward the course and their future intention on their academic engagement. To deepen the understanding of the study, the literature was reviewed. The study used a descriptive-correlational research design. The study population comprised all students in the Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism course. The data was gathered using validated questionnaires. The study found that students' general attitude toward the course, future intention, and academic engagement were very high. The correlation analysis indicated a significant relationship among the general attitude toward the course, future intention, and academic engagement. Thus, the hypothesis is accepted. However, the study also recognized its limitations because of its limited coverage. It is necessary to expand the scope to include many other students from other SVD Colleges in Region I.
