The study aimed to investigate the effect of bureaucratic and humanistic work environments on the work ethics of the employees. To deepen the concepts, the literature was reviewed. The study used the assessment and correlational research design. The population of the study was the employees of the Divine Word College of Laoag. Validated questionnaires were used to gather the data dan the weighted mean and ANOVA were used to analyze the data. The findings indicate that the bureaucratic work environment of the institution is higher than the humanistic work environment. The work ethics of the employees was also high. However, looking into their correlation, showed that there is no correlation between the work environment and the work ethics of the employees. The variances of work ethics are not attributed to the work environment but they may be caused by other individual or organizational factors. Thus, the current study recommends another study particularly the effect of individual work values on the work ethics of the employees.
